Paypal Update
Got this e-mail yesterday:
Our review is complete and we have restored your account.
We appreciate your patience and thank you for your help in making PayPal the safest and most trusted online payment solution.
Sincerely,
PayPal
I never did fax or mail anything to them. I never added a credit card and an address.
All I did was bitch & moan 3 or 4 times to customer service and they caved in.
Doesn't really say much about their security policy, if one can get around it with a few whiney emails.
I canceled my account.

obviously i have no way o knowing what all exactly happened here, but just as obviously you're (justifiably) annoyed with paypal and, hence, biased. it IS possible that some kind of review actually did take place. after all, they limited your account supposedly because they were concerned an unauthorized third party tried to access it, right? to give them the benefit of the doubt, it's possible that after your emails they looked into it further and determined that the account never had been compromised.
but i suppose it's equally possible that they just caved, as you put it. so whatever. fuck'em. :)
